The Snack Craw

There are plenty of craw baits out there that will catch fish, but we built this one to be low-profile and non-threatening so it can pull bites from pressured, wary fish. Its compact silhouette is ideal for situations where subtlety wins.

Of the six color/pattern options, three use floating claws that naturally lift into a slightly defensive stance — excellent on a ball head or NED head. The other three are molded in our neutral-buoyancy compound, making them better suited for dropshot rigs or Carolina presentations.

The market trend has been to pile on appendages, but testing showed a simpler approach works best for craws. The Snack Craw skips legs and keeps only modest claws — when you pull it forward on a jighead the claws converge and the bait slides away like a real crayfish. Relief cuts on the underside of each arm let them hinge for understated, lifelike movement.
